How it all began (All About STG.)

It all started in early 2022 when I created a TikTok account called "stg_wrld." I had just turned 16 and was posting comedic skits for fun. Back then, STG simply stood for "Surak the Goat." ("Surak" being my government name)

Soon enough, my friends at school discovered my TikToks. When they asked what STG meant, I was about to explain, "Surak the..." but one of my friends cut me off, jokingly saying, "Surak the Gayest?" We all burst out laughing. From that moment on, if you asked any of my friends, they’d tell you STG stood for "Surak the Gayest." It became such a running joke that even the girl I liked asked me if that’s what it meant. I was on the verge of tears, thinking, "Ain't no way they really told her that."

During this time, I was heavily into self-improvement, getting rich, and making something of myself. I listened to a Chicago rapper named PGF Nuk and noticed a trend: a lot of my favorite rappers had three letters before their names, like NBA youngboy, YNW Melly and FBG Duck. When I hit 15,000 followers on TikTok, I decided to change my name to "STG rak." This time, STG stood for "Successfull Till the Grave," and "rak" was just a shortened version of my name.

I continued posting skits under the name "STG rak" and started wearing hoodies with "STG" boldly printed on them. People would ask if I had a clothing brand, and I’d reply, "Not yet. I'll let you know when I drop something." Truth was, I had no idea how to start a clothing line.

By the end of 2023 and into 2024, I had gained over 100k followers on TikTok and 7k on Instagram under the name "STG rak." But by mid-2024, I started losing motivation. My views were dropping, and I posted less frequently. I realized that even if I reached a million followers, it wouldn’t make me truly happy. I didn’t want to be remembered just as "the TikToker" or the kid who made skits. I enjoyed making content, but I didn’t want that label to define me.

By May 2024, the end of my senior year, I was failing three classes—Film, Senior Foods, and Psychology—and had only three weeks before graduation. My counselor told me that if I didn’t pass those classes, I wouldn’t graduate. For the first time in my 12 years of school, I actually studied. I even went as far as blocking everyone on my phone to stay focused. In the end, I passed Film, Senior Foods, and got a 97 on my Psychology final. Walking across that stage felt unreal. To this day, I still catch myself wondering—if I had cared a little more about school, maybe I’d be an academic demon at a university right now, running experiments that some kid would one day solve on a homework sheet. But instead, here I am, building a fashion brand in a world already drowning in them—hoping to create something that stands out, not just adds to the noise.

With school behind me, a new chapter of my life is about to begin—a blank page waiting to be written. This chapter is called "STGTHEBRAND," and it marks the beginning of my fashion era.

What is the Meaning of "Successful till the grave? (STG)

"Successful till the grave" has multiple meanings, one meaning being living a life of achievement and high standards until the end. It suggests success that isn’t just temporary but lasts a lifetime.

However, a deeper meaning is that success is just an idea, changing from person to person and shaped by society. What was considered success 100 years ago isn’t the same today. This shows that success isn’t a fixed point but a journey with no end. Even when people reach their goals—like wealth or status—they often want more, revealing that success is a moving target.

Many chase success hoping for happiness, but happiness is personal and always changing. If success is tied to constant happiness, it becomes impossible to reach because feelings and circumstances are always shifting. For some of us, success could just be a concept we created to give life purpose and keep us motivated. It’s not a real thing but an idea that keeps us moving forward.
